Zwitina Gas Turbine Power Plant

Scope of Work: GE Gas Turbine GT 8 C inspection (GT14)
In this project carried out in 2022, a C inspection maintenance was successfully completed for a GE GT 8 model gas turbine. The main activities performed within the scope of the work are as follows:
Complete Disassembly and Component Inspections: The turbine's hot gas path components (combustion chamber, nozzle groups, turbine blades, etc.) were disassembled and subjected to detailed visual and non-destructive inspections. Turbine blades were replaced in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
Compressor and Rotor Inspections: The rotor, discs, and compressor blades were examined for cracks, wear, and balance.
Combustion System Renewals: Burners, fuel nozzles, and liners were inspected, and worn parts were replaced with new ones.
Mechanical Part Replacement: Critical sealing elements, gaskets, bolts, and bearings were renewed in accordance with technical specifications.
Assembly, Alignment, and Commissioning: All components were assembled in compliance with the manufacturer's guidelines; the turbine was successfully commissioned following alignment, clearance measurements, and balancing procedures.
Through this project, the turbine was brought back into service in accordance with the manufacturer’s performance criteria, ensuring safe long-term operation.
